Gus VanDerVoort founded River City Gymnastics in November of 1987, and has 28 years of coaching experience. Gus was an All-American High School Gymnast which culminated into a full scholarship to Memphis State University (currently The University of Memphis). He graduated and received a bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.

Gus was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He has 2 children currently attending The University of Tennessee and 1 child attending Evangelical Christian School.
